Daily small-cap recap

Editor’s notes

Friday's list was led by digital-asset stories: a bitcoin-funded equity issuance, a second straight gap in a stablecoin-themed name, and a SPAC whose shareholders had just approved an XRP-treasury merger. 6 of the 10 closed above their open, the most this week. Two (SGRX, SCNX) closed below the prior close.

Market context: Major indexes rose after the September jobs report (TheStreet session recap).

By the numbers: Under FennEdge's default filters, 6 stocks opened at least 20% above their prior close.

The list is ranked by opening gap, not market cap. Synaptics is not a small cap.
