Editor’s notes
The first session of October had a thin list of large gaps: only 6 stocks opened 20% or more above their prior close. Below that, the top 10 filled with larger companies, including Accenture after its earnings report. 6 of the top 10 closed below their open, and 4 held at or above it.
Market context: Stocks finished roughly flat as Treasury yields rose (TheStreet session recap).
By the numbers: Under FennEdge's default filters, 6 stocks opened at least 20% above their prior close.
The list is ranked by opening gap, not market cap. On a light day, large companies can rank here; Accenture, Vicor and Enerflex are not small caps.
