Methodology & filters
Defaults: Top 50, market cap ≤ $2B, any open or close price. Filter first, then rank and sum daily VWAP × daily volume. Switch to share volume to re-rank by shares. Missing VWAP is never replaced by close price. Provider aggregates may differ from raw trade notional.
Daily archive defaults to existing daily aggregates for completed historical sessions, independent of minute backfills. By session uses minute data without substituting daily totals when missing. Provider aggregation rules can make the two bases differ.
US listed common stocks and common-stock ADRs; excludes ETFs, OTC, warrants, preferred shares and test securities. No gap or price-gain requirement. Volume sums qualifying minute-bar share volume, not dollar turnover or raw trade prints. Pre-market is 04:00–09:30 ET, regular 09:30–close, and after-hours close–20:00 (17:00 on early-close days). Bar start timestamps define half-open boundaries; overnight trading is excluded. Select at least one session. Multiple sessions are summed per stock before re-ranking. Even all three sessions use minute bars, never a substitute daily total.
OHLC % = (daily open, high, low or close / previous-session close − 1) × 100. These daily price changes do not vary with the selected Volume sessions. Stocks without a prior close remain in the Volume total; unavailable changes show —. Price uses split-adjusted daily close; market cap uses session-date provider facts or archived verified shares × that day’s unadjusted close, with the basis retained; current caps never substitute. Bars may be restated and filing facts use report-period dates, potentially including later disclosures; this is not a point-in-time backtest. Unknown caps cannot pass filters. Totals stay unavailable while unresolved data could change the ranking. All ceilings are inclusive.
Country / region follows the business-location definition: the country or region of the SEC business address, with reviewed corrections taking priority. This is the latest company profile, not session-date geography or revenue by country. Missing evidence is shown as Unknown. Select a country for its source; hover for the retrieval time.
The curve uses a shared linear scale across the selected range. Smoothing is visual only: points retain original totals and missing sessions break the curve. Closed days are omitted from the axis. Totals may cover fewer than N stocks; actual counts are shown. Unfinished sessions, missing archives, no matches and market closures are distinct.
