BIYA stock: the October 7 trade cancellation, explained
Read Nasdaq’s October 7, 2026 BIYA trade-cancellation ruling. Understand the affected executions, LULD differences, broker records and Baiya’s SEC filings.

BIYA’s October 7, 2026 session raises a practical question: can a trade already shown on a screen later cease to stand? During an erroneous-execution review, a chart, an execution report and the exchange’s final record can be at different stages of updating.
Sources checked as of October 7, 2026, 11:30 a.m. EDT (11:30 p.m. Shanghai). This review separates exchange decisions from issuer disclosures and unverified explanations of the move. It does not attribute order flow to particular participants.
Start with the ruling, not the earlier repost
Nathan Michaud’s @InvestorsLive post relayed the investigation notice. The Nasdaq System Status regulatory messages subsequently showed a decision. All times below are Eastern on October 7:
| Time | Official message |
|---|---|
| 08:20:00–08:23:00 | BIYA execution window under review. |
| 10:06:32 | MarketWatch announced an investigation into potentially erroneous transactions. |
| 11:00:32 | Under Rule 11890(b), Nasdaq, with other markets, decided to cancel BIYA trades executed on Nasdaq in that window at or above $3.05. Nasdaq would cancel on participants’ behalf; the decision cannot be appealed. |
Read the symbol, window, price condition and venue together. The notice is not an all-day cancellation or a finding that a particular trader manipulated the stock. Check other venues’ notices and your broker’s reports separately. The live status page changes; System Status Search provides a historical lookup.
What does “clearly erroneous” mean?
Nasdaq’s clearly erroneous policy concerns obvious errors in trade terms, such as price, quantity or security identification. A trade determined to be erroneous and canceled is removed from the consolidated tape. That is different from canceling an unfilled order.
An extreme print alone is not enough to make your own determination. Establish whether you are looking at a quote or a trade, its venue and session, and the actual exchange decision. A general explanation of a rule cannot replace an event-specific ruling.
The current Nasdaq Equity 11, Rule 11890 permits review on the exchange’s own motion and allows some coordinated rulings to be non-appealable. A general appeal procedure does not mean every event can be appealed.
Why this is different from a LULD trading pause
The official LULD overview places the plan in regular trading hours, 9:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. ET. Price bands and potential trading pauses address that mechanism; reviewing an earlier premarket execution is a separate question.
| What you see | What to establish |
|---|---|
| A quote or chart print | Is this a displayed quote, an execution report or a historical display? |
| LULD / volatility pause | Is a price band or formal pause in effect? See our LULD guide. |
| News or regulatory halt | Is there a formal notice, halt code and resumption update? See trading halts explained. |
| Erroneous-execution review | Which historical executions were reviewed, canceled or left standing? |
Several questions may be relevant at once, but each needs its own evidence. An unusual print does not establish a halt; continued trading does not establish that every earlier execution remains valid. Our premarket and after-hours guide explains the session distinction.
If your account has relevant fills, reconcile execution by execution
For a broker inquiry, preserve order and execution IDs, timestamps with time zones, side, quantity, price and execution venue. Keep both original reports and subsequent notices. An order’s submission time is not necessarily its execution time, and one order can produce multiple fills.
Consider a hypothetical order filled at different times and venues. If only some executions meet a ruling’s conditions, an average order price obscures the question. Match individual fills. This example does not identify a real account or determine its final position.
After a cancellation or correction notice, reconcile effective quantities, cash, positions, charges and subsequent transactions. A hypothetical buy that is canceled while a later sale remains valid changes the original “buy, then sell” narrative. This is a recordkeeping example, not a claim that it happened in any BIYA account.
The official policy generally requires a member or associated person to submit a written complaint within 30 minutes of execution, subject to specified exceptions. Retail customers should promptly contact their executing broker; a social post is not a complaint. A published own-motion decision and an individual request are different processes.
FennEdge Journal can help organize a trading review. The broker’s formal records still determine account treatment. Do not assume every cancellation has already reached a third-party review tool.
What is BIYA? Separate the business, digital assets and share structure
BIYA is Baiya International Group Inc. Its September 29 unaudited interim-results release describes an HR technology and SaaS business. Continuing-operations revenue was approximately $0.8 million for the six months ended June 30; net loss attributable to common shareholders was about $2.4 million. These are historical financial figures, not the exchange’s execution notice.
Separately, the company’s August 11 announcement reported cumulative strategic BNB investment of $3 million, funded from existing cash reserves. Investment cost is not a current market valuation or a ready-made per-share asset value. Renewed discussion of an older release does not itself explain today’s trading.
The July 8 Form 6-K disclosed a 1-for-10 reverse split effective July 10, with split-adjusted trading from July 13. Do not multiply pre-split share counts by post-split prices. Nor is a historical outstanding-share figure the same as today’s tradable float.
The August 21 preliminary F-3/A prospectus listed a $200 million issuer securities shelf and 50 million Class A shares offered by selling shareholders. Proceeds from those shareholders’ sales would not go to Baiya. The document’s stated scope is not proof of shares sold or cash raised that day. This preliminary filing alone does not establish effectiveness or completed sales.
Read shelf registration, primary issuance and resale and offerings, dilution and reverse splits for the distinctions. These disclosures supply research context; they do not establish that financing or BNB activity caused the execution event.
A BIYA research note you can actually revisit
After finding a name in FennEdge Scanner, use FennEdge Research for company context and FennEdge Desk to preserve source links and open questions. Keep research evidence separate from facts controlled by your executing broker.
- Confirmed: the official message, publication time and scope; retain the version you saw.
- Open: whether your execution reports match, whether the broker has corrected them, and whether the chart reflects later revisions.
- Issuer context: financial results, digital-asset releases, splits and registrations, each with a disclosure date and reporting period.
- Interpretation: hypotheses about the move, supporting evidence and missing evidence.
- Review: what you learned first, when you checked the final decision, and whether your records changed accordingly.
We have not obtained order-level origins, complete cross-market executions or a regulatory finding about participants’ conduct. “Short squeeze,” “manipulation” and an older news headline therefore remain unproven explanations here. Researching a stock move starts with the same discipline: align sources and event times before attributing causes.
