AEHL Gapped Up 183% and Closed at $11.49: The October 14 Price Path and the Filings Behind It
AEHL opened 183% above the prior close on Oct 14, 2026, peaked at 12:22 ET and closed near its low. The price path, the halts and the filings behind it.

Data to the close of the October 14, 2026 session (ET). SEC filings and other sources checked October 15, 2026. This is a market recap, not investment advice.
Antelope Enterprise Holdings (AEHL) had the biggest opening gap on FennEdge's October 14 top-gappers list. It closed up 34% on the day and down more than half from its open. Both are true; they just use different starting points. This recap sets out what happened, what the filings say, what traders were saying, and what is still unknown.
What happened: the facts
The price path. All figures are for October 14, from the FennEdge recap and the AEHL research page.

| Close, 16:00 ET | $11.49 | +34.4% |
Measured from the open, the close was down 52.5%. Measured from the high, it was down 62.5%. The close sat about 4% of the way up from the day's low to its high. Volume was about 13.0 million shares. FennEdge-estimated dollar volume was about $287 million.
Trading pauses. FennEdge recorded five limit up–limit down volatility pauses in AEHL in the first 45 minutes, using Nasdaq's halt feed. Pauses began at 09:32:34, 09:42:55, 09:55:09, 10:05:43 and 10:11:09 ET, and each lasted about five to ten minutes. These are the pauses we have on file, not necessarily every pause of the day. A pause records extreme volatility. It says nothing about who was buying or selling. Evidence page · Nasdaq halts
The financing on file. We found no new AEHL filing on EDGAR dated October 12–14. The financing in the news is older:
- September 3: private placement closed. A 6-K filed September 24 says the company sold 15,000,000 Class A shares at $1.266 each to non-U.S. investors, with warrants for another 15,000,000 shares at a $0.50 exercise price, for $18.99 million in total. This came after a 1-for-16 reverse split effective August 7. SEC 6-K
- October 1: a $100 million at-the-market (ATM) program. A 424B5 prospectus supplement filed October 1 lets the company sell up to $100 million of Class A shares from time to time through D. Boral Capital as agent, at a 2.5% commission. The company announced it the same day. SEC 424B5 · press release
- Share count. The same prospectus lists 16,459,359 Class A and 2,555,497 Class B shares outstanding. Shares outstanding and tradable float are not the same number.
The market and the data
- Heat at the top, weak breadth underneath. FennEdge's small-cap universe of 3,112 names had 567 advancers and 2,464 decliners. Estimated small-cap dollar volume was about $21.8 billion, and 19 names traded at least 50% above their prior close at some point. The day was hot at the top and weak underneath. Market page
- AEHL's high came unusually late. Seven of the day's top ten gappers printed their high in premarket, and two in the first half hour. AEHL was the only one whose high came after noon. In our study of 671 gap-ups, only 7.5% printed their high between 12:00 and 15:59 ET. HOD page
- Closing below the open was the common outcome. In the same study, 65.3% of gappers closed below their open, and 31.0% closed below the gap's midpoint. AEHL did both: the midpoint was about $16.38 and it closed at $11.49. It did not fill the whole gap, since it closed above $8.55. These are base rates from a past sample, not a forecast for any stock.
What social media was saying (unverified)
This section summarizes public posts on X from October 14 (ET). We have not verified any claim in them. They show what people were discussing, not what happened.
- Momentum lists. Several accounts grouped AEHL with other China-based small caps that were moving the same day, in premarket and opening watchlists (example). By early afternoon, some described momentum in that group as weaker than on the previous two days (example).
- The ATM as a "catalyst". At least one post tied the move to the "$100 million offering" (example). The filings date that program to October 1, thirteen days earlier.
- Float claims. One post put AEHL's float at about 16 million shares. That is close to the Class A shares outstanding in the prospectus, but outstanding shares are not float, and we have not verified it.
- Personal trade recaps. A few traders posted their own AEHL trades. We cannot verify them, and other traders should not read them as typical results.
FennEdge's interpretation
This section is interpretation, not fact. It points to what a trader might check. It is not a buy or sell recommendation, and it does not predict where AEHL goes next.
- Pick the starting point before quoting the move. "Up 34%" and "down 52% from the open" describe the same session. The front-page number depends on whether the comparison is the prior close, the open or the high.
- Read the date on the financing. The ATM had been public for almost two weeks. When an old filing gets passed around as new on a big-move day, the useful check is the filing date on EDGAR.
- Compare the share count with the prices traded. On the company's own figures, the September placement shares make up most of the Class A shares outstanding, and they were sold at $1.266. The attached warrants have a $0.50 exercise price. AEHL traded between $10.60 and $30.60 on October 14. Whether those shares or warrant shares can be resold freely, and whether anyone sold that day, is not in the documents we read.
- Treat the ATM as a ceiling. As arithmetic only, $100 million at the $11.49 close would be about 8.7 million new shares, roughly half the current Class A count. That is a ceiling. The company decides whether and when to sell, and actual sales show up in later reports.
What is still unknown, and the risks
- No confirmed same-day catalyst. We found no company announcement or SEC filing explaining a move on October 14.
- Whether the ATM was used. Sales under the program, if any, will appear in later company reports. We cannot tell from October 14 trading alone.
- Tradable float. The resale status of the placement shares and warrant shares is not stated in what we read. Third-party float numbers may be out of date after the August reverse split.
- Warrant exercise. Fifteen million warrants with a $0.50 exercise price could add shares if exercised. We found no report of exercises.
- Data limits. The high of day is the first one-minute bar at that price and includes extended hours. Prices are adjusted daily data and may be revised. Dollar volume is a FennEdge estimate, not an exchange total.
